According to the 3rd Idea, "The only productive thing listening to a pre-packaged instructional presentation will yield is a rough idea of how the material might be adapted to fit your particular class. The crucial factor is always teacher judgement." I agree with this statement, and not just in reference to professional learning. When we attend our district meetings, I receive all of the information with the filter of "How will this work at Whitehead Road?" All schools are not the same and all classrooms are not the same. The teacher should be the one to take the requirements and make it fit for their own teaching style and for the learning community they have fostered in their classroom.
